Dr. Grace O. Acklin is a Licensed Ordained Minister, Teacher and Certified Christian Counselor.
Dr. Acklin was called to Christ at the age of 10 at the Progressive Baptist Church. Throughout her life, she has worked in various aspects of Christian service and ministry.
She received a Diploma and an Associate of Arts degree in Biblical Studies and a Bachelor's degree in Scriptural Psychology with emphasis on Christian Counseling at the Heart of America Christian School and Theological Seminary located in Kansas City, Missouri.
Dr. Acklin received her Master's degree and Doctorate in Scriptural Psychology as well as her Doctorate in Theology at the Faith Bible College located in Independence Missouri.
Previous Assignments: Dr. Acklin attended and served as one of the Associate Pastors of the Greater Pentecostal Temple for 16 years. Bishop Marvin E Donaldson is the Senior Pastor. Her assignment there included: Developing a Counseling ministry, Oversight Pastor of the Women's ministry and Dance ministry, Teacher, and Altar Worker.
She also served on the Board of Directors for FBC (Faith Bible College), for 3 years and served as the Liaison & Director for FBC Extension (classes) at Greater Pentecostal Temple. She was also on the Board of Examiners for the NAFC (National Association of Faith-Based Counselors) for 3 years.
Current Assignment: Dr. Acklin is a member of the Refreshing Waters Worship Center under the leadership of Pastor & Co-Pastor Frank and Robin King. There she serves as one of the Associate Pastors, Teacher, and Oversight Pastor for 9 Life Groups, Altar worker and a member of the Prayer team.
She is also on the Board of Directors and Treasurer for LTTN (Light To The Nations), a missionary organization carrying the Gospel to foreign countries under the leadership of Dr. Sylvia McDaniels.
Dr. Acklin has been the guest speaker for a number of churches, conferences, seminars, banquets, and retreats both in and out of the city. She is committed to both teaching and counseling with the word of God in every area of one's life: body, spirit and soul.
